Some of the world’s most renown designers have come together to give our favorite Disney Princesses a high fashion makeover which will serve as the enhancing holiday displays at Harrod’s, Europe’s largest department store located in London, England.
This is a Disney Medley performed totally a cappella by a group called the Doo Wop Shop. It’s astonishing, and I won’t say too much, but it’s the best thing I’ve seen all week!
Deviantart is the best place ever for fanart and photography and traditional and digital art. It’s simply magnificent, and everybody’s so talented. So I was thrilled to discover this wonderful piece of art by Mayanna depicting the Disney Princesses in hipster style.
I think my favourite is Tiana or Meg! They’re so good! Anyway, this artist creates wonderful art, you should check her out! Especially if you like Harry Potter, Naruto, Death Note and Hetalia! Click the picture or go to the profile link below!
Sherri Stoner was a body model for Belle as well as Ariel!
The dance between Belle and the Beast at the end is actually reused footage of Prince Phillip and Aurora, done because the production time was running out.
Her personality traits are listed as kind, accepting, brave, intelligent, independent, stubborn, protective, outspoken, bold, curious and imaginative.
Belle is the first princess to have a male villain.
Her name is french for ‘beautiful’, though she remains rather unaware of her beauty.
Her main ability comes from her intelligence and wit, proving to the Beast that she is not a pushover or afraid to stand up for herself. She is independent.
She shows viewers that beauty comes from within and that it’s not just appearance that matters.
Check out this image! Using the lyrics “There goes the baker with his tray, like always” from the song “Little Town” and applying it the the Hunger Games, we get this neat little mash up! What was once Belle is now Katniss and Peeta has become the village baker!
Hello! My name is Kelly, and this is my first post! I hope you are all having a wonderful day today.
Glen Keane has recently announced that after 37 years working at Disney, he is leaving.
On March 23st 2012, he wrote in a letter to co workers:
“I owe so much to those great animators who mentored me — Eric Larson, Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston — as well as to the many other wonderful people at Disney whom I have been fortunate to work with in the past nearly 38 years. I am convinced that animation really is the ultimate form of our time with endless new territories to explore. I can’t resist its siren call to step out and discover them.”
Keane created some of the most fantastic artwork and animation for countless Disney movies, including The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and Tangled and personally has inspired me to perservere in the things that I love. Instead of being sad that he’s left, be thankful for all that he’s brought to the Walt Disney company, and be very excited to see what he will continue to bring to the rest of the world!
It seems this man will never stop giving, no matter what he does!
A fantastic tumblr account dedicated to Keane art can be found here and it’s definitley worth checking out.
Here is a lovely video of Glen Keane, himself, drawing and talking about the character of Rapunzel (my favourite Disney princess) It’s so fantastic to see the passion he has for what he does. He will definitley be missed, but never forgotten. Time will tell what else he has to offer!
