Check out these cool new images from the short The Legend of Mor’Du which will be available on the upcoming DVD/Blu-Ray release of Brave on November 13th!
The Legend of Mor’Du is set to bunk up with the Brave Blu-ray and DVD release on Nov. 13. It’s rendered in a more hand-painted, 2D artisan look gleaned from conceptual art and based on tales set forth in Brave. Mor’Du is the demon bear who was once a prince, before a failed attempt to grab power from his brothers transformed him into the terrifying, furry foe. He’s introduced in the movie when he attacks Princess Merida, and his backstory is recounted by the character of Elinor in a pivotal scene. Here he’ll take center stage in all his roaring rage.

Another amazing creation from wonderfully talented Alicexz comes in the form of a scene from Pixar’s latest animated film, Brave.
Even though she considers it one of the weakest of Pixar films to date, no one can argue of it’s digital excellence, and her ability to recreate its beauty in a different style.
Brave spent its opening weekend at number one, earning over $66 million according to preliminary reports, well done! This makes it Pixar’s 13th film to open at number one. Have you seen it yet? If so, tell us what you thought about it!
“Brave” is the 13th film from Pixar Animation to open in the No. 1 position at the multiplex, as the 3-D film debuted with a strong $66.7 million this weekend, according to an estimate from distributor Walt Disney Studios. Meanwhile, the 3-D animated “Madagascar 3″ continued to do strong business even on its third weekend in theaters, grossing an additional $20 million. The DreamWorks Animation title has now collected $157.4 million in the U.S. and Canada.

If you’re a Disney/Pixar fan and you’ve ever played the super addicting mobile app Temple Run, you’ll be thrilled to hear about this new collaboration!
Pixar and Temple Run creators Imangi Studios have come together to create Temple Run Brave, a version in which you play as the newest Disney film’s star!
In this version, you’ll play as Merida running through the Scottish highlands to evade the demon bear, Mordu. Along the way, Merida can use her archery skills to shoot targets for extra points!
Temple Run Brave
Temple Run Brave will be released on June 14. The app will cost 99 cents to download, but each player starts off with 2,500 coins (which would cost you 99 cents to purchase in the free version of the game, anyway.)
In case you haven’t gotten your Disney fill today, please look over these lovely Brave stills for the upcoming movie.
Here’s the story:
Set in Scotland in a rugged and mythical time, “Brave” features Merida, an aspiring archer and impetuous daughter of royalty. Merida makes a reckless choice that unleashes unintended peril and forces her to spring into action to set things right.
Merida is now a face character! Future World at Epcot featured Merida in a meet and greet session, and wow; she looks beautiful. This is probably one of the best and most accurate face characters I have ever seen! She even has a Scottish accent to go with it! Merida’s official appearances will supposedly begin by the end of this month!
Now that you’ve gotten a look at it, is it safe to say that it’s sure to be a hit? Well, I can definitely say that the digital animation team has taken another step forward, it seems. From what I heard, it was quite an arduous task in creating the realistic-looking hair for the heroine, and as you can see, there’s LOTS of hair. Not just hair, but red, flowing, curly, mussed up hair!
So, what’s the story? From the trailer, it looks to be about a girl who’s good with a bow and arrow (not a surprise since female protagonists with fantastic archery skills are “all the rage” these days) who wants more than just to be a princess in a castle with proper manners and high maintenance etiquette. She sets off on an adventure that apparently includes ghost-like blue flaming type things and black, scary bears, and rock formations akin to Stonehenge.
But this is set in Scotland, right? True, so it could be the Callanish Standing Stones on the Isle of Lewis, maybe. Who knows, but I guess it’s safe to say there’s something magical about them, considering the blue flame-light thingies.
Here’s the official storyline: Set in Scotland in a rugged and mythical time, “Brave” features Merida, an aspiring archer and impetuous daughter of royalty. Merida makes a reckless choice that unleashes unintended peril and forces her to spring into action to set things right.
So, are you excited to see this? Or would you rather go see all the rereleases of previous successful Disney animated films in 3D?
