Wreck-It Ralph Sequel in the Works

Moviehole has exclusively discovered that there are plans for a Wreck-It Ralph 2!

John C. Reilly (Ralph) joked:

“They wouldn’t make [all that] merchandise, if [Disney] didn’t have plans for other [Wreck-it Ralph] stories. Some of the big muckety-muckets at the studio, who I just saw the other night, were like ‘We’re talking sequel!’”, Reilly reveals. “The movie made $150 million dollars in eleven days, it broke the box-office record for Disney animated movies on opening weekend. If that’s any indication that we’ll be doing a sequel… I bet we’ll be doing a sequel.”

Director Richard Moore confirmed that he’s already talking storylines with execs at Disney for the second film, which he plans to helm. And there’s one character he wants to get in on the action who didn’t make it before: Mario!

“We’ll really come up with something good for Mario to do [in the next film]“, says Moore. “To be able to present him in the sequel, would be great”.

We think it’s safe to say that we got the best version of Ralph in the end!

Wreck-It Ralph

Here are the characters from upcoming Wreck-It Ralph, the plot described here as…

“Wreck-It Ralph is the nine-foot-tall, 643-pound villain of the arcade video game Fix-It Felix Jr., in which the game’s titular hero fixes buildings that Ralph destroys. For 30 years, Ralph has been doing the same job over and over and has become tired of being the bad guy. Wanting to prove he can be a good guy and not just a villain, Ralph escapes his game through the power cord and lands in Hero’s Duty, a light-gun shooter, where he helps the game’s hero, Sergeant Calhoun, battle against “Cy-Bugs”, the game’s alien invaders. He later enters Sugar Rush, a kart racing game set on tracks made of candies, cookies and other sweets. There, Ralph meets Vanellope von Schweetz, one of the game’s characters, who has learned that her game is faced with a dire threat that could affect the entire arcade, and one that Ralph may have inadvertently started.”
